Advances on the epidemiology of the dry eye

Abstract:

Dry eye is a multifactorial disease of the tears and ocular surface that results in symptoms of discomfort, visual disturbance, and tear film instability with potential damage to the ocular surface. In recent 15 years, as a series of high level epidemiological research of dry eye being carried out, research progression has been made in the epidemiology of the dry eye. In this review, the epidemiological distribution and risk factors for dry eye patients in China were reviewed.
