Abstract:

With the rapid development of femtosecond laser technology, diversified corneal refractive surgeries bring satisfactory clinical effect for patients with ametropia. At the same time, the safety, effectiveness, stability and predictability of femtosecond laser corneal refractive surgery have been further improved. However, for ametropia patients with corneal dystrophy, especially for those young patients with Avellino corneal dystrophy, who have accepted femtosecond laser refractive surgery, their conditions will be further aggravated, thus affecting the visual function of them. In this paper, aggravation of maculae corneae and decreased vision of ametropia patients with Avellino corneal dystrophy after femtosecond laser refractive surgery were covered, as well as the clinical manifestations and gene screening sites of Avellino corneal dystrophy. Avellino corneal dystrophy is an absolute contraindication of femtosecond laser corneal refractive surgery. Therefore, Clinicians should strengthen the clinical examination and gene screening of Avellino corneal dystrophy before femtosecond laser corneal refractive surgery.
