Abstract:

Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment is a common acute blinding eye disease. RRD can seriously affect one′s quality of life if not treated in time. Compared with superior rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, the recurrence rate of the inferior rhegmatogenous retinal detachment is higher, so the selection of appropriate surgical methods is crucial for patients. The progress of surgical treatment of inferior rhegmatogenous retinal detachment was reviewed in this paper.

Key words: Inferior rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, Pneumatic retinopexy, Scleral buckling, Pars plana vitrectomy
