Abstract:

The human visual system mainly consists of two pathways: the large cell visual pathway and the small cell visual pathway. Their anatomical structure determines that the large cell visual pathway mainly transmits color selective visual information at low spatial and high temporal frequencies, while the small cell visual pathway mainly transmits color selective visual information at high spatial and low temporal frequencies. The two pathways play different roles in dynamic vision. The loss of dynamic vision often indicates damage to the large cell visual pathway, which is associated with various diseases such as glaucoma, vestibular dysfunction, and multiple sclerosis. Detecting dynamic vision can provide clues for the early detection of certain diseases.

Key words: Magnocellular pathway, Parvocellular pathway, Dynamic visual acuity
