Abstract:

Adenoid cystic carcinoma is the most common malignant epithelial tumor of lacrimal gland. It has the characteristics of high recurrence rate and early distant metastasis. In this paper, the expression and mechanism of hypoxia-induced-factor-1 (HIF-1α) and vascular endothelial growth factor in adenoid cystic carcinoma were summarized, in order to lay the foundation for further research on the molecular mechanism and targeted therapy of HIF-1α and vascular endothelial growth factor in lacrimal gland adenoid cystic carcinoma.

Key words: Adenoid cystic carcinoma, Lacrimal gland, Hypoxia inducible factor-1α, Vascular endothelial growth factor, Mechanism
