Abstract:

Dry eye is one of the most common eye diseases in the world. In the past, there have been many studies focused on adult dry eye, especially for women aged 40-50. Recent studies from domestic and international teams and investigations from the big data have showed that the number of children with dry eye is increasing. Because the children′s body is in a developing period, and most of the children′s self-expression is inaccurate, the symptoms and manifestations of dry eye in children are quite different from adults, which may cause missed diagnosis, misdiagnosis, and treatment delay. In this paper, the author analyzed the causes and current treatment of dry eye in children, in order to provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
