The new resarch progress of risk factors of agerelated macular degeneration

Abstract:

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is one of the major blinding eye diseases in the world, but its pathogenesis is not yet clear. It is generally believed that individual factors, environmental factors, systemic factors and genetic factors are the main risk factors for the disease, such as age, sex, race, smoking and general related diseases. At present, there are great progress in the research of AMD epidemiology related risk factors in the world. Therefore, this article reviews the related risk factors of AMD.
